Adrienne Kleid
Adrienne Kleid is a graduate student at Hawaii Pacific University finishing up a degree in Global Leadership and Sustainable Development. She has served as President of the Leaders for a Sustainable Future student group and hosted the Sustainability in Higher Education Lecture Series on campus. At San Francisco State University, where she got B.A. in International Relations with a focus in Environmental Studies, she found her passion for Sustainability. During that time she wrote a paper on energy in Hawaii and presented it at the International Studies Association Conference. The paper examined the interaction of people with each other and the influenced of the objects and options that surround them, with Hawaii’s transition to solar as a case study. Currently she is working on her Master’s Capstone paper on how sustainability groups communicate in Hawaii and what allows them to form a mass movement. When Adrienne is not researching for her next paper, she can be found out socializing and meeting as many new people in the sustainability field as possible.
