Emily Reichert - CEO, Greentown Labs
As CEO, Emily Reichert upholds Greentown Labs’ mission and sets the organization’s broader strategic vision, focusing on initiatives that increase its impact on clean and energy-efficient technology commercialization and deployment. She is responsible for capitalizing on that vision to direct the organization’s efforts to engage new corporate and foundation partners, and to expand education and recognition programs for clean technology entrepreneurs. Emily endeavors to leverage the local community of entrepreneurs, investors, universities, government agencies and NGOs working to build our clean energy future by pursuing strategic partnerships and spear-heading initiatives that encourage collaboration, innovation and investment. Finally, she strives to maintain the competitive edge Greater Boston holds in the clean technology sector, both nationally and internationally, as she builds the largest and most successful clean tech incubator in the Northeast.
Prior to directing Greentown Labs, Emily was the Director of Business Operations at the Warner Babcock Institute for Green Chemistry, where she was instrumental in growing the company from an angel-funded start-up to a sustainable contract R&D business with a mission to minimize environmental impact of chemical processes and products. She has over fifteen years of experience serving in R&D, business development and operations leadership roles, acquiring and applying skills in non-dilutive fundraising, marketing, alliance and team building, strategic planning, and intellectual property strategy. Emily holds a PhD in physical chemistry and earned her MBA from MIT. |
