Jennifer Williams is completing a Masters in Environmental
Management at Duke University’s Nicholas School and an MBA at UNC
Kenan-Flagler Business School. Jen also works at Self-Help Credit
Union and Ventures Fund, where she has helped underwrite and fund
more than $57 million in term debt for solar projects.
In 2013, Jen was a Carolina Start-Up Fellow at Simpa Networks in Bangalore, India. She initiated Simpa's referral program for pay-as-you-go off-grid solar customers. She also worked at Mosaic, where she developed a system to find and fund energy projects with input from current and potential crowd investors.
Prior to her graduate studies, Jen managed a region of subcontractors and a pipeline of solar installations as a Project Manager at Sungevity. Before this, Jen worked at Solar Richmond, a social enterprise providing vocational training and job opportunities in green construction and solar installation to low-income adults.
Jen is a recipient of the UNC Falls Prize and is a Benevolence Farm Board Fellow. She received her BA in Philosophy and English from Middlebury College.
