_Lynn Daniels, Senior Associate at Rocky Mountain Institute
Prior to joining RMI in June 2014, Lynn spent 3 years at the U.S. Department of Energy Office of Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy (EERE) as a AAAS Science & Technology Policy Fellow in EERE’s Advanced Manufacturing Office in a variety of roles. Lynn supported program leadership in developing funding programs with a focus on cross-cutting technologies (including wide bandgap semiconductors and carbon fiber composites) for the Obama administration’s proposed National Network for Manufacturing Innovation. He also led EERE’s involvement in a collaborative effort with four other U.S. government agencies to develop a $26 million program to accelerate the growth of advanced manufacturing industrial clusters across the U.S.
In 2012, Lynn joined EERE’s leadership team as an adviser to Assistant Secretary David Danielson and served as Innovation & Analysis Manager for DOE’s Clean Energy Manufacturing Initiative, an effort to increase U.S. manufacturing competitiveness of clean energy products. In this role, he managed an analysis portfolio in collaboration with NREL and ORNL to understand the competitive landscape for manufacturing clean energy technologies.
