Nalin Deshpande
Nalin is currently pursuing Master of Science (MS) in Sustainable Systems at School of Natural Resources and Environment (SNRE) of University of Michigan, Ann Arbor. As a graduate student, he is interested in enhancing expertise and knowledge on energy economics, energy policy and about how business powers the energy ecosystem at large.
Nalin recently successfully finished his internship working with a commercial real estate company based in Chicago, IL as an EDF Climate Corp fellow. Prior to joining UM, Nalin after finishing his bachelors in energy engineering, worked with a renewable energy consulting start-up based out in Bangalore, India for a couple of years. As a Business Analyst, he gained experience on Renewable Energy Credits (REC) markets and Renewable Portfolio Standards (RPS) of India. Nalin also published several newsletters and blog-posts covering the latest on an evolving Indian Power Sector, which had a wide readership among 15,000 key stakeholders. His dedication at work during a short stint garnered him a special recognition award for exceptional commitment. Post Masters, Nalin aspires to further hone his skills and gain experience in a large energy consulting company. Nalin is a die-hard Cricket fan and can be frequently seen around university recreation buildings playing indoor Cricket, Badminton, Table Tennis or Squash.
