DEAR COLLEAGUE:

Austin, Texas, January 23, 2015 -- It's been announced by Zpryme that Andrew Johnston will be the President of Energy Thought Summit effective February 16, 2015.

“I want to bring great minds, doers, and institutions together to invest in real-world solutions that address infrastructure, social and ecological challenges facing our globe, communities, markets, technologies, and policies.” Johnston stated. “I look forward to joining an already great team at Zpryme.”

"Drew’s drive, ideas, and passion for our energy future is a great asset to the community" said Karl Popham, Manager of Emerging Technologies & Electric Vehicles at Austin Energy. “I look forward to Drew taking many of the innovations and practices from his thought leadership in Central Texas and sharing them with a global audience.”

Previously, Johnston was the Lead of Central Texas Fuel Independence Project – a 10-county advanced vehicle technology initiative sponsored by the U.S. Department of Energy and lead by Austin Energy.  Prior to that, he worked with Landis+Gyr deploying state of the art metering technology and served as Chief of Staff to the Wharton Economist, Jeremy Rifkin. He received his degrees from The Ohio State University and The University of Texas at Austin. In 2014 Johnston received the Austin Under 40 Award for Energy and Technology.
