Owen Farag is an Irish senior year mechanical engineering student at University of California, Los Angeles with a passion for clean tech and renewable energy systems.
Current research topics and projects include the design of smart grid technology and the potential for utilising fleets of Electric Vehicles along with stationary battery systems as a form of local voltage regulation.
As he completes this academic year as a visiting scholar from Trinity College Dublin, Owen looks forward to carrying out his Master's research in Ireland and graduating in 2018.
