Sahas Singh is a sophomore Mechanical Engineering major at Georgia Tech and is also pursuing a minor in Energy Systems and a certificate in Finance. He is currently on the executive board of the Energy Club at Georgia Tech and plays a key role in the operations team, which involves securing funding for many of the club’s activities. Sahas aspires to grow the Energy Club to the level where it has an undisputable presence on the Georgia Tech campus, in order to help build a community that will tackle the energy challenges of the future. He represented the Energy Club as the only college freshman participant at the Department of Energy’s Better Buildings Challenge in Washington D.C, where he and his team developed innovative solutions to reduce the energy consumption in the nation’s research laboratories. Moreover, Sahas combines his keen interest in financial markets with his passion for energy in his role as an energy sector analyst in the student-run Investments Committee at Georgia Tech. Furthermore, through his work with the Georgia Tech Student Foundation, he also practices his passion for philanthropy by organizing and taking part in a number of events that promote the spirit of giving back to the community.
Though he holds Indian citizenship, Sahas spent the majority of his childhood in Dubai, U.A.E. It was his childhood exposure to different cultures and backgrounds which leads to his love for meeting new people and trying food from all corners of the world.
